Morgan > BiographyMorgan Lily Gross was born on April 11, 2000 in Santa Monica, CA. The daughter of Andy Gross, Morgan graced the world of show business starting at only three months old. Morgan first appeared on the cover of Talbot's! Magazine. By four, she had been modeling and making appearances in Macy's, Sara Lee, and Disney Magazines and in fashion magazines internationally for Vogue, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, and more. Morgan's first acting job was for a Hallmark Mother's Day commercial, where her adorable face attracted the attention of people everywhere. After making several more commercials, Morgan starred in her first movie entitled Shards. The movie deals with the return of a Solider to his family after the war.
2007 Morgan filmed five nationwide commercials for big names like Jif Peanut Butter, Dodge dealerships, and Walmart, becoming a recognizable face in television. 2007 also brought a role on the intense drama, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Entitled The Living Doll. Morgan did all her own stunts for the show, which included falling from an elevated tree house! Her character Chloe’s father was a ventriloquist. This isn't too far from real life as she and her actual father are both ventriloquists.
2008 opened with Morgan's big Sundance debut in Henry Poole is Here starring Luke Wilson, a film about a man who finds out he only has six weeks to live. Morgan plays Millie Stupek, a mute little girl, and her performance received great praise. Later, Morgan appeared as a crying girl in the hit romantic comedy, He's Just Not That Into You which was packed with A List stars like Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, and Ben Affleck. In September through December of 2008 Morgan filmed the blockbuster 2012 where she played Lilly Curtis, the daughter of John Cusack and Amanda Peet where her character must face the end of the world.
In March of 2010, Morgan starred in an episode of Criminal Minds called 'A Solitary Man' where she played Jody Hatchett, a young girl struggling against the foster care system. Morgan also filmed in Ann Arbor, MI for her role as Young Juli in the book to film adaptation of Flipped.
The Ugly Life of a Beautiful Girl, a film starring Matthew Grey Gubler came next which deals with the spiraling out of control life of a racy industry. Its release date is still unknown, though set for 2014. Love's Resounding Courage, a Hallmark Classic film that Morgan stars in was released September 2, 2010. Her spectacular performance was recognized by a Young Artist Award nomination in 2011. Blockbuster X-Men: First Class was her next project where Morgan played a Young Mystique. In October of 2013, Morgan had a lead role in an episode of the new Nickelodeon show, Deadtime Stories
In January of 2014 Morgan made her second career appearance at Sundance for the dark comedy film Cooties starring Elijah Wood. The film is set for a wider release in September of 2015. March of 2014 brought great things for Morgan. She became represented by CAA, a top agent in the industry, and on March 16th Morgan had her debut as reoccurring character Bonnie on the Showtime hit series Shameless. Her most edgy role to date, reviews and fans hope for her character's return in season 5. Projects for Morgan released in 2014 included; a short film called Sticks and Stones and X-Men: Days of Future Past where Morgan returned as Young Raven. In 2015, Morgan will also star as Corie in Juveniles alongside True Blood actor Stephen Moyer; the release date is set for some time in 2015.
In just the 15 years of her short life thus far, Morgan Lily is quite the actress, with an impressive resume and talent enough that there is no doubt this young teen has a very bright future ahead of her.
